Lady Ashel

Her symbols often invoke spiderweb patterns, and she is known to manifest as a giant white spider, a woman in simple garb with a stack of books, or in the form of a council of fates, depending on the story. When the universe was being dreamt out of chaos she added the concept of events being tied to each other in a narrative and also created magic to track and stitch these narratives together. When the mortal races were created she gave all of them access to this as well, so that they could, on a more limited basis, have some control of their own stories by invoking their creativity and will. She often challenges her followers to learn secrets and to pay close attention to the stories of others, and to look beneath the surface of things and find out what is really going on. She also created the first music by playing songs on the strings of fate that bind the universe together, plucking them and making them resonate. All music, and the enjoyment of music among the living, is an echo of that primordial song, or an attempt to capture some bit of its essence.
